Jessica Jones

This painting is my farewell to one of the best superhero shows on TV Marvel’s Jessica Jones, and was so much fun to work on. I’ve been experimenting with Facebook’s 3D photos these past few weeks and I came up with the layout for this piece primarily because I wanted to see if I could amplify the illusion of 3D by having a hard foreground and multiple “layers” of background. This is probably my first painting where I felt like I was starting to get a grasp on how to paint photo-realistic faces. It’s still not quite perfect, but I’m getting there!
