I’ve been getting some good feedback about my recent series of industry portraits so I thought I’d continue the trend for a few more weeks and see what happens. I spent a lot of time last year (perhaps too much time) cartooning the growing price, and it seemed like a good time to shift my attention to the talented folks that are making real contributions to our growing industry.
With Bitcoin network fees continuing to be painfully high, it seemed fitting to feature one of the people working on a real solution. So, this portrait is of Elizabeth Stark (@starkness), CEO of LightningLabs. Their startup is one of a handful of really impressive teams leading the charge on Bitcoin’s layer 2 future, which aim to drastically reduce network fees and make the blockchain more performant overall. I’m very hopeful that their efforts will culminate in some great releases this year.
