Two years ago, along with every other person on the Internet, I made a Vegeta meme when the Bitcoin price climbed past $9000. Although I was initially hesitant to make the same joke again, I thought it’d be fun to approach it as a sequel, and render it in a completely different way.
The painted aesthetic and flat background is a new path I’ve been taking recently, and it’s forcing me to really sweat the little details. For example, the candlestick graph he’s viewing on his HUD:
I’m proudest of the hands though, which is something I’ve always struggled with and are 10x harder to paint than to draw. Still so much to learn!
