The John Wick films are amongst the most inventive actioners of the last decade, and I’ve been waiting for awhile now to parody the gold coins they use as the currency of the underworld. This is a simple little painting, but I’m pretty proud of the layout and color palette. The whole thing took 5.5 hours, including the initial noodling and research, and was the perfect way to pass the time while watching the Bitcoin markets yesterday.
